CORM is a diversified firm with a range of services in the sewer and watermain construction industry. We are a versatile business, completing most work with our own forces.
Construction services include:
Site servicing and construction of infrastructure for commercial and residential development.
- Reconstruction of existing roadways, complete with sewers, watermains, curbs, sidewalks, topsoil, sodding and all other associated works.
- Cast-in-place concrete work, such as retaining walls and headwalls.
- Excavation and grading with extensive experience in constructing stormwater management facilities, such as ponds and watercourses, and oil grit separators such as Stormsceptor, Hickenbottem, and Downstream Defender products.
- Removal of contaminated material and site restoration covered by environmental regulations.
Value Added Service
CORM is rated with the Ministry of Transportation to bid on projects under the Classification of Work in: GM - General Maintenance and GR - General Road.
- CORM is qualified to act as a plans reviewer if a client wants a practical review of drawings prior to first submission by the consultant, or if a client wants a preliminary cost estimate.
- Staff is also prepared to provide services for a design-build project based on past experience with such projects. CORM has had to design-build some concrete work as part of unit priced contacts for the City of Barrie.
- CORM staff prepares as-built drawings on certain projects, as a condition of the contract.
- The firm holds extended liability insurance and could get additional coverage if required on a project-by project basis. CORM has not been refused bonding for any project, or been subject to a bonding limit. Bonding is available for all projects, providing the bonding company is comfortable with the scope of work and limit of liabilities.
- We work on a time and material basis, unit price or lump sum, to match the budget considerations of the client and the project scheduling.
